Accessibility Statement
We want this website to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, screen magnification or speech recognition.
How accessible this website is
This website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.2 at level AA.
Accessibility was built in rather than added afterwards. Specifically:
- Every page uses one main heading with headings in a logical order beneath it
- The site works with a keyboard alone, and the focus indicator is always visible
- A skip link lets keyboard users jump straight past the navigation
- All text meets or exceeds the required contrast against its background
- Form fields have visible labels that are correctly associated with them
- Errors are described in words, never signalled by colour alone
- The guided questions move focus to each new question so screen reader users hear it
- Text can be resized to 200% without loss of content, and the layout reflows on small screens
- Animation is suppressed for anyone whose device requests reduced motion
- The site works without JavaScript, other than the guided questions, which offer an alternative route
Known limitations
We test with automated checks and manual keyboard review. We have not yet commissioned an independent audit or user testing with disabled people, and we intend to.
No further limitations are currently known.
